Bamboo Greenhouse
Garden StructureThe greenhouse was designed and built for a community garden in Melbourne. The design is based on modular triangles that create a rigid structure. We used readily available temporary fencing clamps to connect the bamboo together.
The structure sits on precast concrete sleepers to prevent the bamboo from touching the ground and is wrapped with a UV resistant plastic that is made specially for green houses.
This structure was our first experiment in using standardised clamps for bamboo construction which led to the design of our own universal clamp system.
