Westgarth Artist Residency

This was our second artist residency in a school, slightly different to the Princess Hill, this was an intensive 2 day residency with Grade 5/6 children.

As part of the artist residency children learnt about the benefits of bamboo and how to work with bamboo. They were involved in cleaning, cutting and tying bamboo with each class building one hyperbolic paraboloid shell. We built a total of four shells that could be used in the community garden or inside the library as a quite space.
